Our five-year project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, focuses on engaging with communities across the country to uncover the hidden history of our urban spaces.
‘Urban detectives’ from across Scotland are invited to explore the story of their town or city, street or park and share this online by adding their discoveries to our national collections. The idea is to make the millions of items that we already hold more accessible to all.
Urban detectives can:

- record and share their own memories and images of Scotland’s urban places
