The Discovering the Clyde programme explores the Clyde River, examining how this 176km stretch of water has affected and been affected by people for millennia.
A series of projects will look at aspects of the river from source to the sea. Through fieldwork, desk-based research and messing about in and around the river, the programme will:
- research the river’s historic environment
- delve into data and archive material
- engage with local people and people with particular interests
This programme is for everyone, and partnership lies at its heart. Academics, planners, local groups and anyone else interested in the River Clyde can have their say on the projects we take on.
